Common questions
- What if my child hasn't reached all of these by age 5?
- Children reach milestones across a wide range of normal, and an un-ticked box on its own is not a cause for concern. This checklist is a general guide to what many children are doing around this age, not a test and not a diagnosis. If something worries you, or you notice a skill your child had and then lost, your paediatrician is the right person to talk to.
- Is the checklist really free?
- Yes. The PDF downloads directly with no signup, no email required and no account. It is bilingual — every milestone appears in both English and Bangla on the same page, so it works for families who mix both at home.
- Can I print it?
- It is designed to be printed on a single A4 or Letter page, with tick boxes next to each milestone. Many parents stick it on the fridge and tick things off over several months rather than in one sitting.
- Which age checklist should I use?
- Use the checklist for the age your child is now. If they are between ages, or were born early, it is normal to look at the one below as well — these are guides, not grade levels, and there is no benefit to rushing ahead.
